Global eCommerce Media Lead

Your Responsibilities:
GSK Global Media is undergoing a transformation - in how we conceive and implement media strategies, in how we are demanding full transparency into our media trading data and down to the media agency model we employ to facilitate effective delivery of our objectives.

We are also transforming ourselves by accelerating our own capability, so we are fit-for-purpose media practitioners leveraging data to reach our consumers along the consumer experience journey.

Digital Media is a key function within the GSK Consumer Healthcare Digital Organization led by CDO Marc Speichert (formerly L'Oreal CMO, Google Senior Global Partnership Leader). The CDO organization also includes Content & PR, Insights and Analytics, eCommerce, Marketing Excellence and the Digital Innovation Hub.

Role Description :

This person will be expected to lead the Global relationship with Amazon Advertising and other eCommerce media partners at a senior level, working alongside the Global eCommerce Director as part of the Global Media Team.

They must have demonstrable experience of working with Amazon's advertising platform including sponsored search and Amazon DSP. They should also have a clear understanding of Amazon Retail and how it impacts Amazon Advertising. In addition, the successful candidate will have global experience with Alibaba, retailer.coms plus other emerging eCommerce driven media platforms.

This person will be required to quickly assess the opportunities for GSK across our US and leading Global markets and define a strategy for 2019 that aligns with our overall 3-year digital ambition.

You will also act as the main liaison between our local paid media and search leads, predominantly in the US and other leading eCommerce markets as well as our insights and analytics, content, innovation, tech and ecommerce teams. They will also need to work closely with our agencies in ensuring we have best in class eCommerce media execution and optimization.

The role will require regular reporting and stakeholder management at a Global and senior level, including driving business projects cross functionally. Strong presentation skills are essential.

The person will also need to work closely with our internal marketing excellence team as the subject matter expert to drive capability across the organization, sharing best practice Globally, especially in emerging markets.

Why You?

Basic qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree ideally in marketing/business
• Significant, practical experience with eCommerce, especially in the US and with Amazon Advertising
• Experience at working within or with a Global client with multiple product portfolios
• Strong commercial and negotiation experience, especially within media
Knowledge and experience with media analytics and ROI, especially in paid digital channels
• Effective communication skills, especially at presenting to a broad and senior audience
• Highly organized and able to self-motivate within a busy organization

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience of working across eCommerce in a Global organization
• Experience of working in programmatic or paid search
