Global Category Manager – Construction & Capital Projects
Global Category Manger - Technical & Professional Services (TPS) is a role operating in a highly complex, multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment. This role is responsible for supporting and deploying strategies across 80 sites, addressing spend of c£250m.
This role has been created to work across and influence stakeholders' enterprise-wide to ensure GSK is leveraging scale, creating best in class partnerships with key suppliers and delivering quality end user and infrastructure services in a cost-conscious manner.
This role will be responsible to support input, creation and execution of category strategies for TPS to meet the business needs across various asset classes and business units globally and for specific sub-categories
They will partner closely with the Global Capital Projects Team, Rx/Cx/Vx supply chains and R&D teams to execute strategies and ensure benefit realisation.
They will be responsible for executing contract performance and governance as appropriate
• Responsible for supporting the Global Construction spend > £600 million annually across GSK network
• Support and manage contract performance and governance
• Accountable to support and execute the strategy
• Support the implementation of critical contracts, reviewing £250m annual spend, take specific responsibility for identified parts of the project.
• Engagement with stakeholders- working collaboratively with the Engineering organisation and all Supply Chain stakeholders (Rx, Cx, Vx), and the R&D teams to drive buying strategies
• Responsible for the management and input of galaxy data for managed categories.
• Responsible for the management of key supplier relationships and associated SRM governance
• Developing & Embedding Processes & Ways of Working as the new Procurement operating model evolves
- Bachelors Degree
- Relevant construction experience in procurement and capital projects
- Proven negotiations and contract management skills.
- English proficiency (written and oral), other language will be a plus
- Leadership/communication skills
- Possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a matrix environment and with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
