Customer Marketing Manager

Your Responsibilities:
Job Vision:

Deliver world class in store commercial solutions along the shopper journey. Based on customers, shoppers and expert insights. Ensure an optimal promotional program & shelf presentation in store aligned with the GSK brand strategies.

Job Purpose:

1. Development of an optimal promotional program for our customers based on the category vision, shopper insights and key account strategy
2. Excellent in store execution of all promotions and brand themes
3. Supports to develop strategic brand and account plans
4. Strategic partner for Key Account Managers and Brand Managers to create a joint business planning
5. Key contact person of retailers category & trade marketing management
6. Key contact for 3rd party agencies to develop and produce promotional materials on time
7. Ensures optimal presentation of GSK product assortment on shelf
8. Translates shopper & consumer insights into in store execution strategy
9. Drive in store conversion (shoppers into buyers)
10. Supports world class execution and timely delivery of in store promotional activities to our customers together with Key Account Manager
11. Evaluate key promotional activities and build on best practices & learnings (ROI calculation)
12. Customer Marketing Manager is one of the main drivers of commercial triangle between Brand Marketing, Sales and Customer/Shopper Marketing
13. BTL & Shopper budget management


Key Job Responsibilities:

Project management
1. Leads promotional projects based on shopper insights and retail analyses
2. Deadline management for promo development, key contact for 3rd party agencies for development
3. Supports in joint business planning (development of brand/customer plans)
4. Ensure effective execution of promotional (theme) calendar together with KAM
5. In store excellence measurements (e.g. store safari, Roamler)

Operational excellence
1. Responsible for execution of marketing mix, driving conversion while being consistent with GSK customer and brand positioning
2. Presentation skills to explain category vision and strategic direction
3. Planning and execution of promotional plan (optimal in store marketing mix, executed with excellence)
4. Timely delivery of in store / online materials
5. Knowledge of key partners strategy, shopper profiles, in store tools (do's and don'ts)
6. BTL budget management

Innovation
1. Continuously improving the effectiveness of in store POS materials (and shopper claims)
2. Finding new ways to drive category growth with key retailers (incl. education of store staff)
3. Drive the theme calendar in combination with our key customers

Strategy
1. Builds strong key account & brand plans together with Brand Marketing and Key Account Manager
2. Understand relevant GSK brand strategies & prioritization
3. Deep understanding of key accounts strategy (do's and don'ts at point of sales)

Analyses & Insight generation
1. Analyse market data information (Nielsen)
2. Promotional effectiveness analyses (ROI)
3. Determines knowledge gaps in shopper behaviour relevant to category vision and strategy
4. Understand shopper insights for your brands and translate to activation
5. Deep understanding of shopper of decision tree, triggers and barriers

People management
1. Build relationship with key customers (buyers, category manager and formula management)
2. Active participant of 'commercial triangle' together with Brands & Sales
3. Sparring partner for key account manager for promotional effectiveness, G2N management and shelf presentation
4. Contact person for 3rd party agencies (creative, production, brand activation)
5. Ensure compliance in all activities together with RA and Quality

Basic qualifications:
Job Factors:

• HBO / University degree in business administration, economics or related
• 2-5 years of work experience with a FMCG organization
• Based on job experience well-grounded knowledge in applying channel and category management tools
• Proactive individual, enjoy working independently and convince with your strong teamwork and cooperation skills
• Being able to make real connection with others
• Strong skills in communication, leadership and people management
• Good project management skills, experienced in managing several complex projects at the same time
• Strategic thinking in combination with business understanding and sound judgement
• Strong analytical skills with focus on execution excellence
• Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch

Preferred qualifications:
-True understanding shopper thinking - experienced in transforming shopper insights into compelling category stories and channel plans along the shopper journey
• Ideally experienced in trade & shopper marketing, sales- and/or brand management
• Innovative & be a entrepreneur
