Country Ethics & Compliance Director

Your Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Country Ethics & Compliance Officer to join our Global Ethics & Compliance (GEC) team based in Indonesia. Through the successful implementation of the GSK Internal Control Framework and compliance programs, this role will support GEC strategy to ensure that the right product gets to the right patient or consumer in the right way. This role moreover supports GSK's mission to help people do more, feel better and live longer.

In this role, you will ensure effective compliance oversight of the Indonesia pharmaceutical business with a specific focus on the commercial operations whilst also bridging across the other support functions supporting the establishment of internal controls and promoting a values based compliance culture throughout the organisation.

You will build partnerships with senior leaders and cross business stakeholders to lead the implementation of a values based compliance program ensuring an alignment between the GEC and business strategies. You will work to proactively support identification, evaluation and management of risks in accordance with GSK's internal control framework whilst enabling business growth. You will provide insight, share best practices and provide guidance to build, test and validate the robustness of business controls and establish and develop the credibility of the function. You will also partner with other teams including Corporate Investigations Team, HR and Legal to ensure that reported concerns are promptly and thoroughly investigated, with suitable corrective and remediation actions when appropriate.

Basic qualifications:
• You will have experience within a similarly focused compliance role and have an excellent foundation of knowledge in relation to internal control frameworks, risk management principles and developing business engagement with compliance in practice.
• You will be adept at understanding business strategy and working in partnership with senior leaders to support their business objectives whilst delivering on a compliance framework.
• Most of all you will be a highly skilled communicator, be able to ask the right questions, challenge and influence to effect change and establish credibility with senior leaders.
• Ability to manage sensitive confidential issues with complete discretion.
• Demonstrated risk management, process improvement, and/or project management skills.
• Maintain a high degree of credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust.
• Exhibit strong analytical skills and an understanding of operational processes and technology concepts.
• Good networker internally and externally to GSK
