Contingent Workers Staffing Services Contract Procurement Manager

Your Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Category Manager who will work in the Staffing Services team within Core Business Services Procurement. Working closely with senior stakeholders, and as a key member of the team, you will focus on two key-sub categories: Agency Workers and Statement of Work (SoW). You will also work on large transformation projects and support the Global Category Lead across predominantly the UK & US key markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive sustainable change globally ensuring the new ways of working are in place and in use and delivering tangible value for CW Procurement

  • Work with Legal team to manage contracts and deliver best in class commercials

  • Hold CW suppliers accountable to their agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Support Global Category Lead in executing upon CW Global Strategy

  • Work closely with onsite MSP, external suppliers and business stakeholders across multiple areas of problem solving and issue resolution

  • Support MSP Expansion project to drive geographical and scope expansion, educating the business on the implementation of new processes & ways of working

  • Support & educate Business Stakeholders on worker classification and any compliance/risk associated with the CW area

  • Responsible for ensuring that the processes for the ways of working in the CW Category are efficient in that they are simplified to an optimum level, and are effective in that they enable best in class Procurement to be executed

  • Negotiate with key suppliers to achieve significant cost savings

  • Build close partnerships and alignment with other Procurement areas in GSK to ensure that appropriate common systems and processes are implemented

    Basic qualifications:
  • Significant experience of managing and working with strategic suppliers in a global corporate environment

  • Demonstrable expertise of developing and implementing category strategies

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing/negotiating with large Recruitment companies

  • Running complex end-to-end RFP processes from requirements gathering though to contracting

  • Good contracting knowledge, ability to negotiate contracts working with legal teams and other relevant parties

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, experience of working well with senior leaders

  • Understanding and experience working with Statement of Work (SoW) service engagements


  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings

  • Experience working with process change management initiatives

  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced working environment
