Area Development Manager

Basic qualifications:

  • Business Graduate

Preferred qualifications:

  • Sales, Distribution and Team leading experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong IT and MS Excel skills
  • FMCG background
  • North experience would be preferred


Job Purpose:

  • Handle entire sales and distribution operations including KPI monitoring and follow-up on sales strategy.
  • Develop and grow general trade business in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and align growth KPIs for the assigned area.

Support Sales Manager with key area updates and take informed decision.

Lias closely with HO (Trade Marketing and Ops team) to ensure effective communication.

Closely monitor competition activities and inform HO timely.

Support and drive TSEs to deliver regional and area KPIs.

Drive distributors to develop best in class market development initiatives.

Lead IT database (iSparton) for the area. Key KPI is to have a clean outlet and sales database.

Ensure Distributor end stock levels and maintain them as per contractual terms.

Lead GSK values for the team and ensure periodic training initiatives.

Develop GT business in the area as per country level strategy.

Ensure availability of GSK products in all relevant channels through field sales team.

Lead branch / area admin requirements.

Ensure a smooth distributor claims settlement process.

Cascade, own and drive Sales SOPs within the area.

Own periodic stock and quality audits at the distributor warehouses.


Smooth distribution operations as per SOPs.

Areal growth and improvement in key performance indicators


Mixed level and complex job tasks with critical timelines.

Strong compliance to legal, and code policies
