Marketing Data Engineer - SQL/C#

Your Next Challenge:

The Marketing Data Engineer is a key role in the marketing operations team responsible for automating the data flows within an Enterprise Data Warehouse,, and  Eloqua Marketing Cloud environment that power our marketing and lead programs. This role works closely with business and enterprise data warehouse teams to clarify business requirements, perform complex data analysis, and automate programs through scripting stored procedures. The Data Engineer will tune programs for optimal performance as well as troubleshoot and make enhancements as needed.

  • Write and understand complex stored procedures
  • Perform complex data analysis and understand how business processes tie to underlying data
  • Determine when the stored procedures should be optimized to meet the business need
  • Understand off-the-shelf API processes and programmatically send data to those systems
  • Write well designed and efficient code

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of  SQL development experience
  • Expert knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and other related SQL Server and DB technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of a programming languages such as C#, Scala, Java or Python
  • Experience in reporting and visualization tools
  • Thorough understanding of service-oriented architectures and data processing in high-volume applications
  • Experience in performance tuning, query optimization using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Ability to quickly identify and address operational and process issues
  • Outstanding analytical skills, excellent team player and delivery mindset
  • Good communication skills, oral and written, with technical and non-technical audiences
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
