Role and Department
We are looking for a 6 months maternity cover for join our Strategic Sourcing Team in Copenhagen.
In this role you will be supporting the end-to-end contracting & sourcing process for Clinical development/Technical operations services with external service providers/vendors e.g., Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and ancillary service providers to support the Clinical development pipeline such as but not limited to other relevant sourced trial management services (e.g., patient recruitment, decentralized clinical trials, etc.). The role will build contracting & sourcing trial strategies and create leading practices which improve values, minimize risk & cost, ensure quality, and create scalability in a dynamic and growing business demand setting.
Responsibilities
The key accountability of this role is to lead the end-to-end contracting & sourcing process,
in close collaboration with departments in Clinical Development to facilitate timely, fit for purpose contracts, by:
- driving the request for outsourcing process
- driving the vendor evaluation
- enabling the vendor selection
- driving the contract process (initiation, negotiation, execution, and scope changes) for master service agreements as well as monetary agreements i.e., task orders/statement of works and change orders
- advising line of business in Clinical Development/Technical Operations on future best practice based upon risk, performance and relationship lessons learned
- contributing to the development, implementing and maintaining the sourcing strategy within the assigned clinical development services/technical operations categories.
In addition, you will be playing an important part in the further development of the global sourcing, contract management and vendor governance processes together with the entire DS&VM team and stakeholders in R&D, Legal, IT&D, Finance, Compliance & Risk, QA, and Global Procurement.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3+ years of industry related experience
- Proven experience in clinical vendor management
- Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent coordination and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
