Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Chennai

Genesys is looking for well rounded software development infrastructure expert, who know how to manage source code repositories, automate software installation and configuration, manage virtual machine images templates and instances and know how to code tests and scripts.

We are looking for high performers that consistently demonstrate an unusual level of commitment, competence and creativity. The work involves creating and managing software development infrastructure for one or more distributed high available products. You will work together with development and QA teams of 10+ engineers.

Skills needed:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of software development infrastructure management experience
  • 1+ years of Release Engineering or builds and source code workspace management
  • 1+ years of creating VM templates and managing VM instances
  • 1+ years of managing CI environment
  • Python or other OOL coding skills
  • 1+ year experience of coding in Python or PowerShell
  • Shell coding skills
  • Communication Skills, Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • At least basic knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.

  • Chef experience
  • vSphere experience
  • Familiarity/experience with one/more of the following: AWS, Service Fabric, Docker
  • Release Engineering experience, including Jenkins, Mercurial, Gradle/Ant/Maven
  • Experience developing tests, especially in Python
  • DB installation and Administration skills
  • Experience in cloud computing environments
  • Network troubleshooting tools experience (e.g. Ethereal, Netcut)
