Sr Software Engineer

We have open positions for Senior Software Engineers to work on the Genesys AI Platform, Customer Journey Analytics, Insights and Predictive Routing. The Genesys AI platform collects billions of events from various sources to build a holistic picture of the customer's journey and predict when best to interact with the person for support or marketing engagement and who is best suited to handle a specific interaction.

This will afford you an opportunity to work on all aspects of big data and software engineering focusing on predicting customer behaviour and next best actions, creating tangible value for the businesses we work with.

You will be building new features, ensuring scalability and availability of the entire platform and delivering high quality code. We write code in JavaScript/Python (but if you are strong in Java that's a good start) and work with many technologies, including Node.js, Kafka and Cassandra, MongoDB.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead in the design and implementation of major features within our AI Platform.
• Drive features all the way through the Design, Beta, Generally Available, Maintain cycle.
• Understand the overall architecture of the system.
• Enhance overall team velocity.
• Apply process appropriately for data security, traceability and information sharing.

Minimum Requirements:
• Hons 2.1 Degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines.
• MSc in these disciplines a plus.
• You are a strong programmer and know how to write quality code in Java, JavaScript or Python.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• You are curious, self-driven, and ask the right questions.

Desirable Skills:
