Sr. QA Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team based in Belfast. You will be required to develop high quality software as well as creating and maintaining a test automation suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing high quality software that meets specified requirements
  • Responsibility for creating and maintaining a test automation suite
  • Implementing automated integration and end to end tests for product features
  • H elping to design and document based on requirements provided
  • Writing code to given technical specifications
  • Analysing product requirements and contribute to design and development of new product modules
  • Defining and execute test plans of implemented modules and features
  • Reproducing and fixing defects
  • Actively participate in the collaborative agile development process to meet delivery dates

Minimum Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other that includes significant programming experience
  • 4+ years of experience in QA, specifically around automated testing
  • Proficiency with Java programming, particularly Java EE and JSP
  • Experience with scripting language development such as Python, preferably for test automation
  • Experience with continuous integration, specifically Jenkins
  • W orking knowledge of source control, preferably git
  • Experience with web automation tools, preferably Protractor
  • Good working knowledge of and experience writing SQL statements
  • A strong understanding of the Web and Web Architectures including HTTP, HTML, Javascript and CSS
  • Experience in data exchange, such as using XML and JSON

Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of Groovy programming
  • Experience with databases, specifically Oracle, SQL Server and/or Postgres
  • Working knowledge of web containers, specifically Apache Tomcat
  • Experience with dependency management software, preferably Ivy
  • Awareness of security concepts and knowledge of how to prevent attacks
