Senior Payroll Specialist - Contract

Summary:

The Sr. Payroll Specialist ensures accurate and timely payroll processing for all team members world-wide. This is a contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process semi-monthly and monthly payroll for 2200 domestic and international team members
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pay/tax issues with third party tax provider and international provider
  • Process year end W-2s and international equivalents
  • Coordinate with OneSource Virtual on state filings; coordinate with international provider for equivalent tax filings
  • Ensure all payroll documentation is accurate current, and organized for audit purposes
  • Prepare state and local tax registrations as needed
  • Analyze and test workflow and systems changes
  • Train and provide leadership to others on various payroll systems
  • Participate in Financial and Benefits Audits as necessary
  • Assist with other projects as needed
  • Collaborate and build proactive, positive relationships with peers, managers, and outside vendors to ensure global best practices and consistency within processes
  • Build strong, proactive relationships with business partners, and others to coordinate activities and drive process improvement
  • Provide customer service for Genesys team members on payroll-related inquiries in a timely, courteous manner

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of high-volume payroll processing experience

CPP preferred

  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and service-oriented
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information
  • Experience with Workday, OneSource Virtual, and Global Payroll
  • Aggregator preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel and Outlook a must
  • Accounting classes or an accounting/business degree preferred
  • Moves objects weighing 10-25lbs
