Summary:

The Senior Manager, HR, India provides both strategic and tactical human resources leadership and support that meets the needs of the business. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, HR, APAC, this individual develops HR strategies and implements HR practices in support of organizational advancement. The Senior Manager, HR shares responsibilities to change the organization in ways that enable it to pursue its mission and vision. In partnership with leadership, the Senior Manager, HR is responsible for creating, developing and executing programs that produce clear results in an efficient, effective, creative and committed team.

  • Provides leadership, direction and counsel to Senior Leaders and managers in all of the disciplines of Human Resources (e.g., recruitment & selection, compensation, organizational development, learning & development, performance management, coaching and employee relations)
  • Leads HR team in the development of content, policies and training in support of HR processes
  • Develops and recommends communication and change strategies to ensure the business is moving in a desired direction
  • Provides a true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Shares in the ultimate responsibility for creating a great place to work. Through organization development, continuous improvement, employee engagement and culture initiatives, helps lead the business to long-term excellence
  • Contributes to the development of the overall direction and people strategy
  • Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence appropriately
  • Develops, implements, and ensures consistent application of HR strategies, guidelines, and programs
  • Identifies business needs and develop plans for resolution
  • Creates and implements internal standards for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR function
  • Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding human resources and ensures compliance with all Federal and local statutes involving employment
  • Demonstrates honesty, integrity, responsibility and fulfillment of commitments
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with global HR Team and cross functional relationships within APAC.
  • Ability to travel both domestic and international
  • Special Projects as required. Identified projects include:

o HR portal

o Employee Handbooks

o Oracle / Taleo (HRIS system)

o Orientation / on boarding programs

o Training / Talent programs

Requirements / skills preferred:

  • Bachelors/Master's degree in related field (preferred)
  • 12 years' relevant, broad HR experience with 7 years at a manager level, OR, equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies
  • Ability to maintain, understand and respect confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with excellent judgment and discretion
  • Ability to provide vision and leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong interpersonal, collaboration and team work skills
  • Effective and positive persuasion and influencing skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, analytical and reporting skills (HRIS) and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle stress and stay organized, focused, even-tempered and congenial when faced with multiple deadlines
  • Experience within a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and promote the linkage between business and operational priorities and human resources activities
  • Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers
  • Strong knowledge of India employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated usage of change management techniques in a business setting
  • Strong organizational re-design capabilities
  • Strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency #LI-MP1
