Full Stack Compute Engineer



Job Summary

The Full Stack Compute Engineer is responsible for supporting and building Pure Connect Cloud (PCC) offerings with regards to the servers within the infrastructure. This role also creates engineering documentation based on architectural designs. PCC offers our award-winning contact center software as a hosted service throughout the world, delivering via state-of-the-art data center and computing technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with and/or training on Microsoft Windows server, Linux and OpenStack infrastructure, virtual server environments, software defined IP networking and storage technologies. Strong DevOps skillset with a focus on Python, automation, Microservices, Kubernetes, Containers, Azure and OpenShift. #LI-AC1

Major Responsibilities/Activities
• Support, maintain and build PCC offerings, including OpenStack/Linux/Windows technologies, while adhering to industry best practices
• Work on projects to move our application from Hosted to public cloud
• Create engineering documentation based from architectural designs
• Create, update and utilize standard operating procedures
• Work with other Team Leads and Manager to maintain team goals
• Works closely with Infrastructure Architects and other Senior Engineers to support the customer's complete PCC solution

Minimum Requirements
• Minimum of 5 year's related work experience or an advanced degree with 3 year's work experience
• Leadership experience
• Experience in various deployment models of the technology including a hosted environment
• Candidate should understand industry trends around the subject matter they are working with
• Certifications may include Microsoft MCSE, MCSA, RHEL or ITIL Foundation
• Experience designing in a cloud-based service provider environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Ability to actively listen and learn
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive
• Ability to work independently and be resourceful
• Knowledge of data center technologies
