Title:Sr. Software Engineer

JobDescription

Weare looking for JavaScript developers with the skills and experienced necessaryto develop webapps, UI plugins, and widget-type apps. Developers must becomfortable learning and using new frameworks and in-house programmingmethodologies or technologies. You will be working closely with UX and Productteams to define visual and functional requirements, and you will develop,integrate, and test alongside other front-end and back-end developers for eachrelease. Apps developed by this team will be highly visible and featured onmany public websites.

Responsibilities

  • Developingand maintaining webapps, UI plugins, and widget-type apps
  • Optimizingcode for maximum speed and minification
  • WritingUnit tests and performing end-to-end testing
  • Integratingapps with back-end services
  • Usingand expanding shared components
  • Programmingwithin a sandbox and using approved methods
  • Followingprocess for code submission, code reviews, and releases

Skills

  • StrongJavaScript experience and programming skills
  • Strongunderstanding of CSS and specificity
  • Sandboxingand defensive JS/CSS/HTML
  • AsynchronousUI programming utilizing "promises" and data services
  • Integratingwith RESTful and CometD Server APIs
  • Abilityto acclimate to new frameworks and programming requirements
  • Familiaritywith

o JQuery

o Mercurial and GIT
