Director, Sales

The Director of Sales develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes needs to drive revenue for the entire Genesys suite of products through managing direct sales in the Sales organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Genesys sales process.
  • Sells and promotes the sales of Genesys products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale.
  • Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division.
  • Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue monthly.
  • Manages escalations.
  • Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team.
  • Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure objectives are met.
  • Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations important.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years' sales management experience within technology industry.
  • Ability to hire and train new sales representatives.
  • Be a "High Energy", results-oriented achiever and a team player willing to work in a demanding and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in software sales.

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills: produce materials, deliver presentations, and perform general education.
  • Ability to represent the company at senior executive levels.
  • Able to develop proposals and manage the sales cycle with minimum supervision while providing regular updated on progress and challenges.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • The willingness to travel
