Credit and Collections Analyst

Position: APAC Credit & Collections Analyst

Summary of the Position:

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Full accounts receivable and collections functions for countries in APAC
• Collection of past due accounts to achieve or exceed quarterly cash collection targets
• Analysis and reporting of AR Ageing, Collection Activity schedule
• Credit Hold management and reporting
• Preparation of AR reserve report
• Production of cash collection forecast reports and cash balance reporting
• Preparation of all APAC credit memo requests and interco transfers for NA & EMEA office
• Releasing Sales Orders into ERP (Netsuite) billing system
• Pro-active management of "Credit Hold" reporting including notice to customers & Sales Rep / Region Management
• Assist with maintaining appropriate credit limits and payment terms in Netsuite for new & existing customer / partner
• Ensure withholding tax certificates are collected from any customers who are required by local tax law to withhold amounts from their remittances to Genesys and build up & document a knowledge of APAC countries withholding requirements
• Collection of all G-Force (Genesys' industry event) Sponsorship invoices
• Follow up on late submitters, disputed charges, incomplete documentation • Document all recurring procedures to ensure that this function could be effectively handed over to a replacement (temporarily or permanently)
• Build strong and effective working relationships with external / internal customers and WW within Finance Team to ensure coordinated management of APAC AR
• Identify & initiate process improvements
• Maintain an effective filing system for all physical & soft correspondence & records pertaining to the role
• Other adhoc projects and duties as required

Qualifications/Skills: • Qualified Accountant preferred (CPA) and 5 years relevant experience in a multinational company.
• Previous experience working across geographies an advantage;
• Strong computer literacy, particularly Excel & Word, experience with Netsuite & Concur an advantage
• Strong desire to meet / exceed targets and deliver within deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers and strong English language skills (written & spoken)
• Displays initiative in the carrying out of their duties, constantly looking for ways to improve processes to promote efficiency or strengthen control
• Strong organizational and priority skills
• High degree of accuracy and reliability in data processing and financial analysis
• Willingness to take on additional projects or workload from time to time
• Mature & professional approach to work to ensure the person respects the confidentiality of the data they are responsible for and has the confidence of other employees so they are willing to disclose such data
• Ability to work and deliver within tight deadlines and willingness to work longer than standard hours to ensure a task is completed on time when required
• Ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers
