Global Asset Specialist (Cross brand)

Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Asset Specialist who will be responsible for managing the organization, storage and distribution of global digital assets used in marketing. This role requires a detailed-oriented individual who can handle a large volume of assets, ensure they are easily accessible to the global teams and maintain consistency in taxonomy and tagging. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital asset management (DAM) systems, excellent communication skills, and experience in a global marketing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring all non-U.S. marketing content-including images, videos, graphics, and documents-is properly cataloged, tagged, and organized for easy access by internal GM teams and external partners.
- Track and report on all asset coordination and distribution activities across global markets while ensuring timely fulfillment of global asset requests by agency partners.
- Monitor asset usage and effectiveness across global markets. Provide insights to inform future asset creation and sharing strategies including formats, specs, and timelines to streamline fulfillment.
- Partner with the Global Brand Strategy team to approve asset modification request and distribute digital assets to global partners across various channels, ensuring correct versions and formats are used.
- Download and distribute data models to Global GM team members and partners
- Manage global inquiries regarding current, in-progress, and future asset availability across GM and its partners.
- Ensure all global assets meet brand standards and guidelines prior to storage and distribution, including review and approval of product and safety tagging and usage rights.
- Collaborate with global content creators, designers, and other stakeholders to manage the lifecycle of digital assets from creation to archiving
- Help develop and maintain specific global metadata standards for digital assets to improve searchability and organization within the DAM system
- Continuously assess and improve asset management processes, including opportunities to simplify and streamline. Document best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the Asset IQ team to monitor workflows and recommend process or system improvements that enhance efficiency and promote content reuse.
- Provide training and guidance to global brand teams and partners on DAM system usage, asset location, and best practices for asset management. Develop onboarding materials or sessions for new market teams on asset systems and processes. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for asset-related tools.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in digital asset management, content management, or a related role
- Proficiency in digital asset management systems
- Strong understanding of marketing processes and content production workflows
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of metadata standards and best practices for asset management
