Part Time UX Design Instructor

In this 12-week part-time course, students will learn to build wireframes, implement best practices for common design patterns and analyze business goals from a user perspective. We are looking for instructor to lead this transformative experience through General Assembly’s part-time User Experience Design course.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You are eager to shape the skills, minds, and trajectories of the newest generation of user experience designers.
  • You are the person that your colleagues naturally gravitate to when they are looking for guidance.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience working in user experience design.
  • {"You have fluency in some or all of the following topics"=>"the UX Process, User Research and Personas, Usability Testing, UX Analysis, Information Architecture, Interface Design, Wireframing, Prototyping, Analytics and Optimization, Mobile UX, and/or HTML/CSS."}

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Teach 2 hours per evening, 2 days a week, for 12 weeks.
  • Instructors will need to commit a few hours a week on preparing to teach.
  • Work alongside GA staff and teaching team to best meet the needs and learning styles of your students.
  • Guide students through development of a stellar final project that will showcase their abilities to hiring managers.
  • Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community.
  • Inspire students to persevere through the challenges of solving user experience design problems.

General Assembly is a licensed school in the state of New York and all instructors are required to be licensed by the State. To be employed by GA, you must submit an application to the State before your start date. The directions on how to become a licensed instructor will be shared with you if an offer of employment is made.
