We are looking for a well rounded individual, who leads by example. Our community is at the heart of what we do at GA and we need someone bright, kind, and organized to be the face and first interaction with our students, instructors, and other stakeholders who work out of our space. We are looking for someone with a strong customer service background and a readiness to handle lots of moving pieces.

This position is heavily involved in public-facing functions like greeting students/instructors, checking guests in, assisting with events and class setup, troubleshooting AV/technical issues as they arise, and tidying up before/after classes...all with a smile on your face.

The main focus of this role is to be a customer service wizard, but here are other day to day tasks that you’ll be assisting in:

-Greeting students, instructors and guests

-Professionally answer questions regarding GA products and services

-Checking students/guests in for classes and events in an engaged manner

-Assisting instructors with setup of projectors/presentations prior to class and troubleshooting issues as they arise

-Setting up rooms for classes and events (includes moving heavy furniture)

-Multi-tasker who can thrive under high-pressure deadlines and situations

-Strong desire to help people and find solutions in a timely manner; consistently anticipate guests needs and/or find tasks to help keep the campus organized and flowing smoothly

-Has done research into what General Assembly offerings are and has an interest in our education model and mission.

-Availability of 15-20 hours per week on a regular basis

-Looking to hire consistent weekday availability (M-F, 8 AM - 2 PM and/or 4 PM - 10 PM).


This job is a great fit with someone who has a background in production work in the events sphere, restaurant industry, or freelancers. It requires a lot of quick thinking, a great can-do attitude and self-motivation to learn about GA.
