Security Guard II

Under direct supervision, ENSURES GEICO properties are safe for all GEICO associates and visitors against fire, theft, illegal entry, and other security risks. ASSISTS level I Security personnel regarding procedures, reports and questions when Supervisor is unavailable. TRAINS new guards on basic procedures and practices.

ENSURES GEICO properties are safe for associates and visitors by securing assigned post and patrolling the building to warn and take action on security inconsistencies and/or possible threats to the company. RESPONDS to security alarms and emergency situations within required timeframes.

MONITORS surroundings on closed-circuit television and ENSURES unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas for the general safety of GEICO associates and visitors.

ASSISTS level I Security personnel regarding procedures, reports and questions when Supervisor is unavailable. TRAINS new guards on basic procedures and practices.

PROTECTS evidence or scene of incident in the event of emergencies, accidents or security investigations.

EXAMINES doors, windows and gates to ensure GEICO properties are properly secured.

EXERCISES judgement within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.

ENFORCES parking policies by making regular rotations to verify only authorized vehicles are on company grounds. ASSISTS with proper removal or action, if deemed unauthorized.

DRIVES associates between offices, airports and other work-related locations. ASSISTS with the maintenance of fleet vehicles used by the security team.

ASSISTS with badge security reports, logs and other ad-hoc requests.

DOCUMENTS daily activities and incident reports.

ESCORTS associates to their vehicles upon request.

ANSWERS questions and TAKES phone calls to assist visitors and associates in a professional and welcoming manner.
