Java Programmer

GEICO'S BU Claims team is seeking a highly motivated Java Programmer to join our Java application development team. Your will implement new applications and integration processes as well as providing technical support for the Claims systems. Technical support consists of monitoring production systems, triaging reported issues and working with multiple teams on developing and documenting comprehensive systems solutions.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience with J2EE, Java Servlets, JMS, EJB, Junit, Design Patterns, JSON/REST, XML/SOAP services
  • Expertise in Java Application Servers, JBOSS Application server and Apache, Source Control Systems (Perforce),
  • IDE?s (IDEA, Eclipse), JSF, Java script, AJAX, CSS and HTML
  • Knowledge and understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum procedures, processes, and practices
  • Ability to work with multiple application development and SOD support team
  • Working knowledge of Guidewire is a plus
  • Strong organization and communication skills and the ability to respond to claims system issues from multiple business units.
