Business Leadership Summer Internship - Virginia Beach, VA

Job Description

Are you looking for an internship that provides real world business experience in a fun and engaging work environment? During GEICO's 6 week paid summer internship program, you'll gain first-hand knowledge of our dynamic industry, work on meaningful projects, and have opportunities to network with leaders throughout our organization. You will collaborate with a team of fellow interns from various universities, working together to solve current business issues and presenting your ideas to management with the potential of implementing your ideas. These projects will include researching insurance industry trends, analyzing current business procedures in multiple departments, proposing new strategies for growing and retaining our business, developing marketing plans, and delivering presentations to management.

In addition to working hard on business projects, we also believe in playing hard and enjoying team building activities with your fellow interns and giving back to the local community through volunteer work.

At the end of the summer internship program you will have an understanding of what it takes to be successful in a multi-billion dollar corporation. Interns may also be considered for future career opportunities with our company. In fact, more than half of our summer interns accept full-time positions following completion of the program!

Candidate Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a business major
  • Junior or Senior status
  • 3.0+ cumulative GPA is required
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership potential
  • Strong understanding of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
