Primary focus is the development and execution of strategies, programs, and process development to drive greater productivity and global consistency while reducing attrition rates and open territories.  This position is a key member of the CAS Global leadership team with the ability to drive the global vision, motivate, inspire, and facilitate a high performing culture.  Provides strategic advice and direction for the GVP of CAS.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and lead implementation and adoption of global solutions to meet the business needs founded on a thorough understanding of business unit strategies and objectives based on current and potential future business challenges.
  • Lead strategy and planning for acquisitions impact business unit including integration and launch of new segments or teams to maximize market opportunity and events revenue with strategic direction and programs to achieve and exceed annual targets.
  • Lead development, advise on positioning, and prepare content creation for strategic meetings on behalf of GVP, including key leadership, GLT, and OC meetings.
  • Dynamically lead sales strategy development and deployment through the CAS sales channel.
  • Drive sales productivity by evaluating effectiveness of current programs, campaigns, and tools and deliver the recommendations to innovate and advance these functions to increase sales effectiveness.
  • Continually educate Sales Enablement team and Marketing team on CAS strategies, tools, programs and processes so they clearly understand how and when to engage with CAS to maximize sales productivity and effectiveness.
  • Build TBVA with key leaders across Gartner business units, to drive programs, CAS brand, and one Gartner approach to go to market strategy.
  • Partner with GVP and Finance to develop quota methodology, compensation plans, incentive structure, and ad hoc incentive programs.
  • Partner with WW Conferences Strategy & Operations team in establishing event targets necessary to drive increased paid attendance in line with business objectives and align CAS metrics and strategy accordingly.Provide continuous strategic direction to the Events GSO on territory, compensation, and training needs of the CAS organization.
  • Lead and direct ongoing support of operational activities, including forecasting, pipeline, quota setting processes, and systems and tools to create and provide programs for leadership development and succession planning.


Requirements, Competencies, Skills and Abilities:
  • 15+ years global business experience preferably in technology, end users, and government sectors
  • Proven ability to drive strategies and solve problems using quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of business process, operational strategy, trends, issues and data analysis to deliver against business objectives
  • Ability to devise solutions and effectively present to audiences of varying levels of experience/understanding
  • Exceptional leadership, communication skills, and proven ability to lead and influence direct and indirect teams
  • Proven ability to drive strategies and solve problems using quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ability to “see past the numbers,” apply creative concepts to devise solutions, and effectively present these concepts to audiences with varying levels of experience/understanding.
  • Demonstrates high level of influence at senior level, negotiation & facilitation skills
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge in operations strategy, trends, issues and data analysis to deliver against business objectives.  
  • Strong project managements and organizational skills
  • Solution oriented with a high sense of urgency
