UI Designer - Capterra


Capterra is looking for a talented UI Designer to help create exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will have an eye for clean design, superior UI skills, interest in / experience with front end development, and the ability to translate requirements and wireframes into prototypes and mockups that result in intuitive and functional user interfaces.

This is a hands-on role focused on contributing to the processes of product discovery, design and development. You will work with product managers and engineers to create quality, device-agnostic user interfaces and experiences.

What you’ll do:


  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to implement visual design and UI elements

  • Work with product managers to define and implement interface strategies that enhance customer experience for existing and new site features

  • Conceptualize original ideas - rarely relying on stock images or libraries

  • Execute all visual design stages from concept, to mockup to final hand-off to engineering

  • Promote design guidelines and best practices and standards
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of the design process – especially related to digital products – and the ability to work at all levels of the process

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, CSS Frameworks - JavaScript is a plus

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping software

  • Proven responsive web design experience

  • Demonstrable UI and visual design skills with a strong portfolio - m ust be able to showcase and speak to your portfolio, and how your work qualifies you for this role

  • Front end development skills (great to have)

  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process (great to have)

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years’ experience
