About the Job

We are looking for a seasoned data scientist who’s ready to take their career to the next level. Our ideal candidate is an analytical mastermind with experience analyzing advertising/performance marketing data including keyword and category level performance across multiple device types and geos, and building scripts for real time analysis preferably in the Travel, e-Commerce or Finance industries. You will employ your exceptional understanding of data analysis and statistics to improve our performance marketing across multiple business models (PPC and PPL) and websites (Software Advice, Capterra, and GetApp). Experience building and managing teams preferred but not required, as you will help us build the role and function of a Data Science team from the ground up. We are considering candidates for our Austin (TX), Arlington (VA) and Stamford (CT) offices.

What you’ll do:

Set automation strategy. You’ll identify opportunities for growth and help outline the strategic direction to keep our Marketing teams on the cutting-edge of automation and data science.

Execute key initiatives and projects. You’ll break down new strategies and goals into quarterly initiatives and work with cross-functional teams to generate expected results.

Deliver through key stakeholders across multiple businesses. You’ll work with the team leaders and managers to translate abstract concepts, needs and goals into actionable solutions.

Develop world-class capabilities. You’ll ensure that we remain on top of best practices and leading trainings and continued education for the team.

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or similar (advanced degree preferred) and 10+ years experience. An established foundation in business with proven results finding actionable wins in performance advertising and marketing.

Experience working with API integrations and proprietary software technology. Well versed in building out solutions to scale, and supplementing functionality offered by top bidding platforms with automated scripts. Experience doing this in Travel, e-Commerce and Finance preferred.

Experience with top BI platforms, including Microsoft BI. Working with programming and database querying language is a valued strength; SQL experience is an added bonus.

Experience with bidding algorithms and logic . Knowledge and understanding of how to build and manage advanced bidding systems.

Ability to build performance reporting dashboards to model predictions and forecast for large scale organization. You can analyze large data sets and put into action reports that model predictive and forecasting.

A marketing data expert. Understanding of online advertising and familiarity with marketing and branding frameworks including ad effectiveness measurement techniques.
