Backed with the insight of Gartner research and events, the Gartner Consulting team helps clients in a wide range of industries speed up their agendas and stay ahead of the digital curve. Due to increasing demand, the consulting practice is growing its team.

Role Purpose:

Defines and implements the Benchmark Analytics strategy for a specific Consulting Industry (FSI, MCRU) in partnership with the Digital Best Practices Industry Lead(s). Responsible for Sales/Demand Generation, Product Innovation and the Delivery of world class Benchmark Analytics Solutions to Gartner clients within the Industry.

Ÿ Sales & Demand Generation – Carry the BA sales quota within a given market/industry; accountable for achievement of team bookings and managed revenue targets. (50%)

Ÿ Coaching and education of the Managing Partners to a high level of capability in positioning Benchmark Analytics in every engagement (20%)

Ÿ Industry specific Product Innovation – Evaluate, identify and create innovative Industry specific Benchmark Analytics products to generate demand, retention and repeat business towards the goal of integrating Benchmark Analytics into every consulting engagement. (10%)

Ÿ Team Leadership – Provide direction, guidance and on-going coaching to Consultants on respective Benchmark Analytics Industry team with a focus on increased demand generation performance and delivery excellence. Provide leadership and education to Managing Partner community across Digital Best Practices to identify and close any gaps in BA knowledge and sales capabilities. (10%)

Ÿ Delivery of Benchmark Analytics Engagements – Set strategic direction and leadership (both direct and indirect) to Consulting team towards delivering best in class Benchmark Analytics solutions in client engagements. (10%)


Ÿ 15+ Years Relevant industry experience, 15 + Year Consulting Experience, 10+years - Sales / Consultative Selling / Demand Generation
Ÿ Bachelor degree required, advanced graduate degree preferred
Ÿ Ability to build and sustain executive relationships at trusted advisor level
Ÿ Ability to drive an engagement gross margin at or above Gartner consulting standard
Ÿ Demonstrated ability to sell and lead delivery of complex engagements
Ÿ Skilled in all aspects of Sales opportunity planning, including demand generation, scoping deals, crafting proposals, telling the story and closing business for new opportunities and expansion of existing accounts.
Ÿ Skilled in mentoring and coaching future client/ business development leaders as well as delivery consultants.
Ÿ Recognized as an expert in given industry and Benchmark Analytics
Ÿ Strong financial analysis skills
Ÿ Superb written and / presentation communication skills at a senior executive level
Ÿ Proven track record of managing and coaching others
