What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for creating graphics or improving existing graphics for client deliverables, proposals, presentations, brochures, and other collateral, whilst working within defined timelines. Drive creativity in adherence with published Gartner standards for content, style, and consistency. Ensure clear communication of complex messaging through visual representation and limited guidance from content owners. Add visual interest to content-heavy presentations using icons and other imagery. Also provide technical graphics support to global Consulting, the global P&D team, and in support of our graphics tools and libraries.
  • Directly create and manipulate graphics in PPT, Adobe suite and other graphics tools, and insert comments for escalation to senior experts or the requestor as needed.
  • Scope of graphics clean up includes taking graphics and frameworks created by consultants globally and improve them ensuring the messaging is clear; all graphics are compliant with Gartner color palette, branding and style guidelines; and all graphics leverage Consulting best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage best practice graphics from best practice graphics libraries, customizing as needed to meet custom request requirements.
  • For graphics creation, leverage existing repositories of images and icons to add visual interest to existing presentations and materials. Create branded graphics and infographics based on text descriptions, hand-drawn sketches, and other inputs from consultants. Also, work closely with Production Coordinator to make suggestions to enhance layout and clear messaging of documents through visual interest and imagery.
  • Technical graphics support includes activities such as consistently re-sizing, cropping and adjusting photos to meet guidelines, readying images for production, sourcing stock images, re-creating non-editable images, etc.
  • Strictly follow all P&D global best practices and guidelines, tied to Gartner corporate branding and standards, in all daily work. Use best judgment to meet detailed and varied client requirements, and escalate for senior issue resolution as needed.
  • Based on request work, make note of feedback to senior P&D experts to help shape the development of policies, standards and procedures to encourage global best practices.
  • Support both quick turnaround client requests and large internal initiatives such as knowledge management repositories.
  • Support continual evolution of best practice graphics by capturing reusable graphics and frameworks from requests and working to update best practice tools and libraries.
  • Advanced skills in graphic design, image manipulation, and communication via visuals. Ability to work with content and instructions in both U.S. and U.K. English.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Adobe suite and related graphics and document creation tools. In-depth understanding of complex publishing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work globally to collaborate, work together to solve problems, ensure customer satisfaction, and support strategic initiatives.




Qualifications:


What you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualifications in graphic design or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct computer graphics experience or equivalent experience in a desktop graphics design environment, preferably working in IT consulting or publishing.
  • Advanced skills in graphic design, image manipulation, and communication via visuals. Ability to work with content and instructions in both U.S. and U.K. English.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Adobe suite and related graphics and document creation tools. In-depth understanding of complex publishing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work globally to collaborate, work together to solve problems, ensure customer satisfaction, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to ensure that all deadlines are met on assigned requests. Ensure rapid response service and ability to juggle multiple requests with same-day deadlines.
  • Ability to understand style guides and global best practices and apply them consistently every day. Good judgment in when to correct issues in content and when to escalate for senior expert or author input.
