The Staffing andCommunication Coordinator implements and oversees effective staffing plans forsales associates and specialists and can assist in facilitating Hello Gap,training, and retention functions within the store. This positionsupports the Times Square flagship in attracting top talent to the brand inorder to create a compelling customer experience. This role ensuresthe quality and integrity of recruiting metrics and how it impacts theorganization. The Staffing and Communication Coordinator adheres tocompany guidelines for position postings and communication. As amember of the store team, this position upholds management standards andrecruits qualified candidates that reflect a diverse applicantpool. This individual monitors the work environment and partnerswith HR to improve the employee experience. This position may flexto additional training duties as the business dictates. The Staffingand Communications Coordinator reports to the Flagship HR Generalist.

Staffing

  • Collaborates with the Senior Leadership,Assistant General Manager(s) and Sr. HR Generalist of the Times Square Locationto determine optimal staffing levels and availability needs consistently.
  • Owns recruiting. Responsible forsourcing candidates through competitive shops, approaching candidates atvarious local hot spots, building strong college recruiting networks,networking, social networking sites, employee referrals, and other creativesourcing venues.
  • Creates and communicates interview schedulescoordination with Senior Leadership and AGM schedules.
  • Complies with all Passport Guidelines tomaintain consistent and fair hiring practices.
  • Recruits from a diverse applicant pool.
  • Promotes community service in the store toencourage networking and recruiting opportunities to build a diverse workforce.
  • Manages the acceptance and turndowns of allcandidates: Communicates decisions to candidates in a timely and professionalmanner.
  • Responsible for finalizing offer process for allpart time associates, inclusive of background screens and compensation requirements.
  • Trained in facilitating Hello Gap and can assistin coordinating and facilitating Hello Gap classes.
  • Owns and manages internal job postings andcandidates.
  • Educates Times Square team oninterviewing/selection techniques and recruitment process.
  • Conducts training on hiring company resources.
  • Consults with store leaders on development andimplementation of the Store's retention strategy.
  • Monitors achievements of optimal staffing levelsto maximize business opportunity.
  • Performs exit interviews with employees whovoluntarily resign.

Communication

  • Current on all corporate communications (i.e.Zipline messages) and disperses information to the team.
  • Acts as the point person for the Times SquareAlliance and tourist activity in NYC.
