As a Gap Inc. Intern, you will gain valuable work experience in a fast paced and innovative environment, here in beautiful San Francisco. By the end of the 10 weeks you will have completed business critical projects, which you will present to your senior leadership team. Don't expect to be running around getting coffee. Here's what you will do all summer!

We are expanding our retail operations globally and delivering a software platform that can quickly be adapted to different country requirements. Learn each facet of the SDLC (Software Development LifeCycle) using Agile Methodology/Delivery as an iOS Software Engineer.

• Participate in an Agile work environment, pair with Senior Developers, Product Owners, UI/UX Engineers and other Product teams to produce and deliver code and/or test cases using Agile practices, building apps with thousands of users.

• Participate in the Product Team's Agile rituals including daily standups, weekly showcases, retrospectives, etc.

• Use TDD (test driven development) practices with other Engineers, and Product Managers

• Gain exposure to Continuous Integration and tools like Jenkins, New Relic, Java Profiling, etc.

• Create automated test cases in partnership with Developers and Product Managers.

Here's what you need to get the work done

• Undergraduate or graduate student with one year or less left to graduate in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, Integrated Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or related degree with a GPA of 3.0 or above.

• Exposure to Object Oriented principles (Analysis and Design)

• Expose to writing code in Java

• Exposure to JavaScript, HTML5 technologies.

• Exposure to Java technologies, including Servlets, Struts/Tiles, JSP, JDBC, JMS, Spring, etc.

• A desire to evolve excellent problem-solving skills; meticulous & methodical approach to troubleshooting
