Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing - Asia logistic

Sr. Category Manager, Asia Transportation & Distribution Centers, Strategic Sourcing The Senior Category Manager manages and owns the planning, implementation and execution of Asia based transportation and distribution center sourcing projects. Sourcing projects will include logistics, customs brokerage, small parcel, distribution center services and other projects as required. To effectively managing the category, the Sr. Category Manager must possess the following skills and experience: Category Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution Center categories. Sourcing: Working knowledge of the Strategic Sourcing Process (i.e. category profile, sourcing strategy development, RFP process, supplier negotiations and contract management). Analytics: Ability to manage and interpret large datasets for decision making and the capacity to distil and present this information succinctly. Collaboration: Able to create and manage relationships, collaborate cross-functionally and influence the decision process. A day in the life of a Senior Category Manager… Leads planning, implementation and execution of category strategy for Asia Transportation and Outsourced Distribution Center Services. Manages a portfolio of Asia based sourcing projects, such as logistics, customs brokerage, small parcel modes and DC services. Manages competitive RFXs and negotiation strategies. Key advocate for bid evaluation, price negotiation and supplier selection. Builds relationships and collaborates cross functionally with business partners, suppliers and management. Leads the category management presentation of cost-benefit analysis to stakeholders Actively seeks out sourcing opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership. Regularly leverages industry experts, associations, peers and stakeholders to identify/benchmark best practices. Coaches, trains and develops junior staff on both technical and soft skills. Leads, coordinates and facilitates global, cross-functional teams to achieve category strategy objectives. Contributes significantly to the achievement of defined category performance targets. Supports the creation and implementation of programs to assess and promote supplier performance and development. Collaborates with senior functional leaders to establish both short and long-term business objectives. Manages rigorous analysis in order to scope and prioritize new sourcing opportunities within project areas. Leads continuous improvement process and offers ideas and assistance on programs across the department. Continues to develop deep category knowledge and regularly leverages industry experts, associations, peers and stakeholders to identify and benchmark best practices Creates and leads Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for all logistics categories. Do you have what it takes? [FG1] Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in management consulting, strategic sourcing, supply chain and or logistics experience.
