Meet the Team:

The Strategy & Product Operations team is focused on developing a best-in-class Product to Market process. Our team drives strategy and capability development (people/process/tools) in support of global growth, customer responsiveness and speed.

General Summary:

This role will lead the expansion of one of the most critical responsive supply chain capabilities for Gap, Inc. – Demand Driven Buying. This capability enables Gap, Inc. to better meet customer product demand through increased flexibility and speed. This leader will own the end to end responsibilities for continuous improvement, expansion and change management of the capability in support of all brands, channels and markets. This role is highly collaborative working across our brand, supply chain and operations team, and product management teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Drive successful adoption of capability across Gap, Inc. organization in support of brand goals

Support and enhance end to end operational execution for Demand Driven Buying across brands

Partner closely with brand teams to implement change management programs that help drive adoption and increase strategic use of capability

Identify continuous improvement opportunities, key issues, development of conclusions and implementation plans supported with qualitative and quantitative analysis

Facilitate discussions at varying levels of the organization to drive support for continuous improvement opportunities

Collaborate closely with brand teams and leaders to effectively integrate Demand Driven Buying capability into product to market process with long-term sustainability

Partner closely with responsive analytics team to measure effectiveness of capability

Collaborate with product management team and brand partners to inform and prioritize enhancements of technical tools in support Demand Driven Buying

Anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues before they impact business results

Proactively foster brand and business partner relationships to partner on processes

Develop knowledge of tools and systems that impact pipeline processes

Prepare presentation documents and updates to all levels of management




Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement work across for a process / capability

Think strategically to support the development of innovative processes improvement opportunities with brand teams

In-depth knowledge of retail planning and production processes

Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and change management across a matrix organization

Ability to drive and execute process analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Foster new ways of thinking and working with brand teams

Ability to manage implementation of new processes including tactical activities

Experience with leading transition and implementation work

Ability to influence various stakeholders and manage project outcomes to deliver results

Strong critical thinking and business curiosity

Proficient at project management and senior management communication; excellent written and oral communication skills

Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships

Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a

changing environment

Minimum Experience:

8 plus years minimum preferred work experience in retail/consumer products

Retail planning experience is a plus

Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional leaders and teams

Strong facilitation skills

Ability to synthesize detailed information into key insights

Ability to influence business leaders with clear point of view and recommendations

Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Educational Level:

Bachelor's Degree required; graduate degree MBA or Masters level work in related field highly desired.
