OVERVIEW:

The Production Strategy & Operations team is responsible for enabling our product teams to achieve high performance and bring strategies to life by providing insights at the right time, creating clear growth strategies tied to long range plans and building best in class business processes. This role will be responsible for driving measurable operating efficiencies within the brand through leadership of process improvement initiatives. The manager will identify opportunities to drive operating best practices for the product teams and build new ways of working to make teams more efficient and productive. This role will also develop time management strategies to enable enhanced productivity for product teams and support key decision making for the Leadership team through the Calendar Center of Excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operating Efficiency + Productivity

  • Develop frameworks to identify and prioritize operational efficiency projects
  • Engage with working teams to understand current processes and opportunities to drive productivity
  • Clearly articulate the case for change to win executive sponsorship and support from working teams
  • Develop process solutions that will inspire new and innovative ways of working
  • Partner with functional leaders and teams to implement operational initiatives
  • Support change management through partnership with relevant functions (e.g., Learning & Development, Communications, etc.)
  • Measure impact of process changes after implementation


Leadership

  • Lead business operational efficiency projects and supervise team of Production Coordinators
  • Foster open communication and a team environment with all business partners
  • Challenge business partners when appropriate to prevent re-work, redundancies, and inefficiency
  • Effectively manage and support the career development process of direct reports to drive engagement and future talent development
  • Hold self and others accountable for work commitments and outcomes


Calendar Management

  • Own building, communicating and maintaining the Product to Market calendar
  • Drive efforts to creatively solve for optimization of the product
    development calendar while engaging with cross-functional partners
  • Develop the framework, process and tools to streamline calendar
    activities


BACKGROUND + REQUIRED SKILLS:
    7-10 years of work experience, including retail experience (big picture retail understanding) Consulting Experience preferred BA/BS degree required, MBA a plus Interest/knowledge of retail industry People management experience


Project Management

  • Proficient with using Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) tools
  • Ability to develop and maintain visual process documentation
