Senior Manager, Operations Analytics, Global Supply Chain


From cotton to customer our Global Supply Chain and Operations organization is comprised of thousands of employees who source, produce, deliver and build our inventory capabilities for Gap Inc.'s iconic American style around the world. We retail in over 50 countries and across multiple channels: On-line, Stores, Outlet and Franchise. Gap Inc.'s Supply Chain Strategy team helps to evaluate and optimize the Gap Inc. Supply Chain by identifying opportunities and improving our processes to operate efficiently and in support of global growth and speed.


Deliver executive level reporting across supply chain to drive business operations and results through decision support team members. Drive the synthesis and concise communication of changes to metrics from underlying data.

Own defining and partnering with IT and Business Partners to manage and deliver business capabilities and system solutions. Drive business process changes necessary to simplify and optimize operations end to end across the supply chain.

Manage the team responsible for driving business results through evaluating key processes, analytics and data sources needed to support business priorities.

Partner to manage solutions and automation/ optimization to drive process efficiency and business results.

Provide key decision support to senior management. Identify key metrics needed to manage and drive business results across supply chain end to end. Evaluate key processes, analytics and data sources needed to support business priorities.

Engage with leaders in managing and presenting metrics to develop reporting to support management of the business.

Anticipate roadblocks, both intellectual and political, and proactively address issues before they impact business results.

Lead cross functional projects to support supply chain process optimization end to end. This includes driving the project management, thought leadership, solution innovation and change management/training identifying process improvement opportunities, key issues, development of conclusions and implementation plans supported with qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Manage a team of high caliber technical experts in business, systems, engineering and data.

Proactively foster brand and business partner relationships to partner on analytics and processes.

Develop knowledge of tools and systems that support Gap Inc.'s supply chain operations.




Demonstrated ability to think strategically and frame new and complex issues – articulate strategic choices and help focus the organization on the most critical and value-added activities.

Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills, strong ability to work with large volume of complex and detailed data using tools such as SQL Server, Teradata, Access, Excel, VBA, and Tableau.

Proficient at project management and senior management communication.

Experience influencing and leading a team of high-achieving contributors.

Willing to roll up sleeves and get work done – a productive contributor to detailed content.

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.

Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships

Demonstrated ability to liaison business needs with IT teams and drive technology projects.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a changing environment.

Strong sense of accountability and ownership.

Experience with retail/consumer goods supply chains preferred.


Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Decision Science, Operations or related analytic field.

8 years plus of experience in strategy, supply chain/management consulting, BI/Analytics, retail/consumer products or similar analytic role.

MBA or Masters preferred in related field
