The Senior Manager, Mexico Omni-Channel Marketing is part of the Old Navy Marketing team.

Purpose: Responsible for overall Old Navy Mexico Omni-channel marketing strategy and planning in close partnership with the Director, International Marketing, Global Marketing team, cross-functional experts and market GM. Ensure there is alignment between the International team's business objectives and Old Navy's brand positioning. Drive awareness of the brand, traffic to existing stores and successful launch strategies for Old Navy's store growth in Mexico.

Organizational Relationships:

  • Partner closely with Director, International Marketing and in-market leadership team on building marketing plans for the Mexico
  • Partner with in-market agencies on execution of brand strategy, store openings, media planning, PR and event planning, social media
  • Partner with in-country team & agencies for any Promotion/Events implementation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Marketing Planning

  • Lead Mexico Commercial Planning, developing seasonal and monthly promotions and event plans in partnership with cross function teams
  • Partner with Marketing Effectiveness and in-market agencies to measure traffic and sales impact of our events and media in Mexico to guide future planning
  • In close partnership with Director, International build annual/seasonal marketing strategies, plans and budgets
  • Drive execution of seasonal & Grand Opening marketing
  • Co-develop briefs with Director, International for over-arching media strategy and channel strategies
  • Write and publish Promotions/Event procedures to stores
  • Support Director in management of key customer insights projects for brand as needed in Mexico
  • Develop understanding of Mexico's business and marketing objectives, and identify and communicate ideas and opportunities to support those objectives both leveraged from Global Marketing Strategy and localized for Mexico
  • Subject matter expert on Marketing in Mexico markets, specifically in retail

2) Drive Brand Launch Strategy for new stores in Mexico

  • Partner with the Director, agencies and Field Leadership to develop seasonal/monthly promotions and event plans
  • Work with Director, finance and marketing leadership to help establish marketing business objectives and traffic goals for our International markets
  • Plan, execute and provide strategic oversight on new store opening marketing
  • Apply customer lens, creative thinking and competitive insights to promotions and events

3) Manage In-Store Marketing Elements

  • Partner closely both with Director, International, retail marketing and print production to ensure all in-store marketing elements are leveraged, localized, produced and installed as specified by Brand

4) Drive traffic with Media

  • Partner with SF based Media team and in-market agency to ensure that all media is driving brand awareness and traffic in Mexico
  • Plans should be localized to the market and leverage content produced in US where possible

5) Drive Digital & Social Marketing

  • In close partnership with Email & Site Marketing teams, ensure Marketing Web/Mobile sites and email in Mexico follow overall country strategy
  • Partnering with SF based social team & Mexico based social agency to drive Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

6) Oversee PR and Brand Engagement Strategy

  • Partner with Global PR team to develop Mexico PR strategy
  • Partner with in market PR representative to develop and execute plan
  • Drive awareness through buzz

7) Agency Management

  • Responsible for oversight of in-country agencies and ensuring all plans ladder up to annual / seasonal marketing strategy with elements of localization



Required Qualifications:

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Strong overall Marketing experience with Fashion, Retail or other Consumer Goods Brands
  • Omni-channel Marketing a must
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Strong Influencing/Negotiating skills
  • Fluent in Spanish a must
  • An expressed understanding of the Old Navy brand (including aesthetic, taste level, competition)
  • Skilled and experienced in Agency management a plus
  • Proven experience and ability to work with Creative organizations
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Strong drive for results
  • Strategic agility – ability to drive strategic vision, bring innovative solutions to launch campaigns, and build sustainable, long-range plans for international markets

2) Minimum educational level:

  • BA/BS degree required; MBA a plus

3) Minimum experience:

  • Minimum 7-8 years Corporate Marketing experience
  • Fashion, Retail or other Consumer Goods Brands work experience
  • International work experience preferred
  • Leadership experience, managing a team
