Senior Manager – GapTech Finance, Portfolio and Asset Management

The Senior Manager of GapTech (Technology) Finance is a great opportunity for a proactive individual looking for a transformational, challenging and fast paced role supporting Gap Inc.'s technology function. This position is accountable for developing the Finance team and driving processes and tools that support GapTech's project portfolio from a financial perspective.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a trusted financial advisor and leader to drive effective and transparent technology portfolio spend
  • Point of contact for financial accounting and reporting related to the GapTech project portfolio and fixed assets
  • Manage monthly financial close process for GapTech project portfolio expenses - deliver accurate financial results, including comprehensive analysis of key expense and balance sheet items
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Financial Analyst team to develop monthly financial forecasts for the GapTech project portfolio expenses that accurately predict business performance and highlight key issues for senior management
  • Manage the asset creation process and the financial closeout of projects
  • Develop annual budgets and long range plans for GapTech project portfolio operating expenditures that meet all Corporate requirements, are aligned with GapTech strategies, and incorporate recommendations from all key business partners
  • Provide guidance to project and business teams with regard to Corporate Accounting/Finance policies and standards
  • Develop value added partnerships across teams and functions while maintaining a global independent perspective
  • Evaluate current processes and tools to drive efficiencies and value added enhancements
  • Manage team of three plus self
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support as needed

Minimum Qualifications are:

  • Proven ability to manage and lead the development of a team
  • Proven analytical ability and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to interact with various management levels and maintain effective business partner relationships
  • Capable of working cross functionally with teams and commit to deadlines, fostering a positive work environment in a fast paced work place
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable operating in complex and transforming environments
  • Advanced level of Oracle, Excel, Essbase, PowerPoint with Access skills a plus
  • Proven experience budgeting, planning, forecasting, closing and reconciling operating expenditures
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Technology a strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA/CPA a plus) in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 7 to 9 years of business experience in Finance, Accounting or related field with progressively increasing responsibilities
