Senior Financial Analyst, Parcel Finance

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Transportation Finance manages the expense associated with moving Gap Inc.'s product from origin to customer. This role will own North America ship from store parcel expense for both retail and online channels.

The successful candidate will have strong problem solving skills and be able to manage large amounts of data. Additionally, the candidate will also have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Parcel Finance, and into the broader Global Supply Chain finance team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in leading the transition of financial processes from brands for North America ship from store parcel expense.

Execute key financial processes for North America ship from store parcel expense for forecast, budget, and close.

Participate in monthly roundtable meetings with cross functional business partners.

Evaluate current processes, tools and reporting to improve accuracy, drive efficiencies, and incorporate new concepts.

Understand the drivers of ship from store parcel expense and provide analytical support as needed.

Partner with Operations and Strategy teams to provide ad hoc reporting and support.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional business partners at all levels of the organization.

Act as primary business partner for ship from store component of systems used by GSC Finance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, (CPA a plus)

3-6 years of accounting, planning, and/or reporting experience with fast paced business environments preferred.

Strong base knowledge of accounting and finance. Demonstrated ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions/recommendations to management. Experience with large data sets (Access/SQL skills a plus).

Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions/recommendations to management.

Proven ability to develop effective business partner relationships.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills reflecting prioritization with sense of urgency.

Experience with financial database systems (Oracle and Essbase experience preferred). Excellent PC skills.
