Senior Financial Analyst, Global FP&A – Banana Republic

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the Global Manager of FP&A, this role will provide FP&A support for BR's North America Specialty and Outlet stores businesses, and assist with Global consolidation.
  • Monthly forecast ownership, including variance analysis and leadership communication
  • Support the annual budget process, working closely with the business partners inside and outside of finance
  • Ensure integrity of the budget and forecast deliverables to Corporate Finance
  • Identify and research monthly and quarterly variances to budget and forecast, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Manage the financial systems support (Hyperion Essbase) for the larger Finance team
  • Provide ad hoc analytics based on business results and cost variances
  • Develop analyses to create clear risk and opportunity plans
  • Support business partners with ad hoc requests
  • Take initiative to drive change and improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Establish a track record of clear communication up and across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • One or more years of work experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Oracle financial systems and Essbase a plus
  • Proven analytical ability and creative problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in inventory management or other retail financial analytics is preferred but not required
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Team player with a positive attitude
