Senior Director Marketing Production Strategy

The Sr. Director Gap, Inc. Marketing Production Strategy is responsible for the development and sustained evolution of the marketing production process and cross-brand strategy across Gap Inc. including Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Athleta. This role will drive process & tool alignment, identify leverage opportunities, cross-brand strategy, brand relationships, collaboration and goal development and measurement. The Sr. Director will develop and build out this newly created leveraged organization within GAP Inc.

This role will lead a group of three Marketing Production Strategy Directors responsible for driving Sub-Category Strategy and Tools & Technology across Windows & In-store, Props, Direct Mail, Labels & Packaging, and POP Marketing. Marketing Production Leads from each brand will dotted line report into this this person to work together to identify and provide innovative solutions (process, strategy & technology) that leverage the collective power of the Gap, Inc. brands.

Sets vision and long term strategic roadmap for team and communicates with correct levels of leadership at each brand

Builds effective strategic relationships with Gap Inc. partners and senior leadership and successfully partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to drive results and influence change

Build partnerships with Brand Marketing Leadership & Creative teams to align on seasonal/ annual strategies

Has deep production leadership capability and supplier knowledge; regularly leverages industry experts, associations, peers and stakeholders to identify and benchmark best practices

Develops and aligns GAP Inc. level strategies with Marketing, Finance and Strategic Sourcing.

Align with team on best practices and assist with socialization, approvals, removing roadblocks and escalations as needed

Sets goals and performance targets for the team in alignment with marketing production leads and brand CMOs

Responsible for developing the leadership, capability, strategy and expertise for the team; acts as an expert source on employing technical and leadership skills for the department when course corrections and mitigation strategies are needed

Implements reporting and metrics dashboards related to value-tracking, tools & tech implementation, team capacity and effectiveness, cycle times and other relevant data

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE Desired:

15 + years professional experience in marketing, print production, management consulting and/or print management

Demonstrated political and organizational savvy; can effectively and directly manage conflicting view points and challenging situations with minimal negative impact

Proven capability in directly leading a team. Ability to assess talent and manage, motivate and develop others, including leaders of others, to higher levels of performance

Experience driving results in a complex global, multi-brand, matrixed environment while leading a centralized role/function.

Substantial knowledge and understanding of the creative process, print management, and production/supply base capabilities

Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, while managing competing priorities

Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills; ability to communicate complex information in an executive format and use data to tell a compelling story

Superior time management, project management, organizational and leadership skills; ability to influence, manage

Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities; can see a problem from multiple angles and provide viable, innovative options for resolution

Ability to effectively manage and plan resources to achieve goals and support unplanned work

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Ability to travel as required
