Senior Analyst - Operational Technical Support

GENERAL SUMMARY: Leads Strategic Operations and process improvements for the Expense Payables department. Develop a thorough understanding of Oracle AP functionality, accounting, and workflow to support Oracle Super User requests. Liaison between business and IT for Expense Payables requests. The candidate should have project experience, working closely with IT, able to multi-task and excellent written and verbal communication skills. _____


  • Leads initiatives as assigned with minimal to moderate direction so that operational teams can focus on their day-to-day duties
  • Review and assess Expense Payables current operational processes and provide input and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead review of Oracle AP minor enhancement requests
  • Complete Oracle AP Super User tasks
  • Acts as subject matter expert when it comes to changing and/or implementing new processes or technology
  • Oversees the day-to-day progress of assigned projects and initiatives
  • Applies proven project management techniques, methods and tools
  • Assist business with IT ticket monitoring and resolution
  • Uses innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across process and technologies
  • Assist International Finance teams with Oracle questions or concerns
  • Accountable for maintaining excellent customer service and meeting department commitments
  • Uses innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems
  • Applies relevant business, financial and accounting knowledge to technical solutions and process improvements
  • Manages issue resolution and risk mitigation efforts with Global Enablement Services team, Global Operational Business Partners, and IT Production support
  • Support Oracle Accounts Payable projects
  • Uses appropriate latitude to make decisions and resolve issues as the normal course of business
  • Ensures compliance with best in class standards and established control methodologies
  • Continuously seeks functional/technical expertise to obtain solutions
  • Follows all related IT security, IT protocol and SOX guidelines
  • Ability to adapt when necessary to work extended hours (including weekends) during peak project times
  • Sets a standard of excellence for integrity

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Has regular contact with internal BPs (CSSC, IT, Corporate, International and the Brands,) generally at all levels.



1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Broad understanding of finance including business strategy, financial systems, business process design and implementation and internal controls
  • Proven track record of implementing successful large-scale projects and related best practices, both technical and operational
  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills, and demonstrated ability in making decisions and exercising good judgment
  • Subject Matter Expertise in business process and technology
  • Understanding of relevant business levers and how the related technology supports the processes
  • Ability to influence people and process
  • Flexible work availability to support International time zones
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships
  • Ability to address highly complex technical issues
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

2) Minimum educational level:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Information Technology or equivalent experience required

3) Experience:

  • Minimum 4+ years of related accounting or finance
  • 3 to 5+ years related experience, preferably with Oracle Financials Applications

4) Physical Requirements:

  • Some travel may be required
