Seasonal Loss Prevention Agent - Rocklin, California Location
GENERAL SUMMARY : The Loss Prevention Agent 1 has a thorough knowledge of Gap Inc. policy and procedures. Performs duties as a floor officer and acts as a deterrent to theft issues and directs Loss Prevention related procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for conducting E-Commerce Order Management System audits to identify internal and external fraud. Responsible for initiating internal and external investigations based off the above audit results and/or received information from floor employees. Responsible for conducting all shortage related audits located in the LP Shortage database. Monitor employee, vendor and visitor entrances and exits from the buildings. Assure that all contractors and visitors are signed in and escorted to work areas. Conduct bag checks on all employees, vendors and visitors entering and leaving the building. Assist in Fire and Earthquake drill and evacuations. Responsible for keeping the facility secure during non-operational hours. Monitor and respond to facility alarms Monitor facilities'/campus' CCTV system Responsibilities for this position include a focus on e-Commerce Loss Prevention. Understanding the areas of Loss Prevention specific to online business and transitioning the goals/ideals of Global Supply Chain Loss Prevention into the online environment. Be available to work any shift or facility within campus upon request. Must present a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Maintain communications with the Loss Prevention and Facility Management. Assure that all daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities are completed. Assist in operational audit process. Responsible for work assigned posts such as: Call Center/Data Center floor- Patrolling, maintaining LP visibility to campus personnel, reporting unusual activities or observations. Assisting the department in all aspects of Loss Prevention. Train new employees and Contract Security Officers. Perform shortage research and generate incident reports ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Will have daily interaction with Loss Prevention Employees and Management. LP Agent 1 will also have frequent communication with Facility Management, Call Center employees and Data Center employees. Works closely with LP 2 Investigators and assists with mentoring of new LP 1 Investigators.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of Loss Prevention and/or security procedures preferred, but not required
- Able to maintain constant awareness of surroundings
- Must posses good oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated; must be able to work with little supervision
- Must present a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred but not required.
Minimum education level:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Any combination of 3 or more years of collegiate education and related experience
