Field Finance Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY: This position is leading the field finance team in overseeing the annual budget, monthly forecast and field financial operation of store payroll, other store expense, upper Field expense of Greater China for Gap, Factory and Old Navy brand. Additional duties include Field financial performance review, ad hoc analysis to maintain/promote store profitability and productivity of Greater China. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Budget & Forecast Oversee the budget, forecast, and monthly close processes for Gap, Factory and Old Navy of Greater China’s store-related SG&A expenses, and provide analysis on actual vs. forecast/budget variance. Partner with cross functions to identify risk and opportunities of expense management, and ensure actual and forecast amounts are within budget and in line with sales t rend. Financial Analysis Oversee field financial performance of all brands of Greater China. Identify risks and opportunities for each expense category evaluating at both the store and total fleet levels. Assist Field leadership in measuring and driving consistent performance across the fleet through both routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting. Develop and lead implementation of cost reduction strategies and productivity maximization initiatives. The position is responsible to optimize field finance operation and drive efficiencies and value added enhancements. Evaluate current processes and tools in order to drive efficiencies and value added enhancements. Ensure field finance operation and reporting is consistency of cross brands. Team Management Manage and develop a team of 4 Sr.analyst and analyst. ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Senior Director, Finance. Interacts with Upper Field team, Store Operation, Accounting, Construction, Loss Prevention etc. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of work experience, preferably in Finance, with a proven track record in developing and managing a team, creating strong partnerships, and influencing at all levels of an organization. Strong financial theory, analytical, and modeling skills; working knowledge of financial statements Strong A ccounting knowledge . Ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business recommendations Excellent written and oral presentation/communication skills Ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; CPA or MBA preferred Knowledge of Oracle financial systems and Essbase/Hyperion is a plus Retail experience is also a plus
