Divisional / Merchandising Manager, Vendor Management The Vendor Management team is accountable for global vendor relationships & performance per defined sourcing strategy meeting GIS priorities, garment development, costing and production performance. The team is responsible for strategic capacity planning and to setup strategies to achieve AUC and Responsive Supply Chain (RSC) goals by building effective relationships within the cross-functional teams and with brand. The sub teams under Vendor Management function will be Strategic Sourcing, Product Development and Post PO Management which will work in specialized operating model in order to facilitate more nimble sample development, drive value added activities & innovation and improve our responsive capability to service the business better. The primary responsibility for the Strategic Sourcing team will be to drive the overall country and vendor strategy for the department in partnership with the other category teams such as strategy, raw material and garment technical. The main purpose of the team is to implement the category strategy by leveraging the overall category volumes for product allocation. The team will be accountable for capacity planning and driving organizational goals of AUC/RSC and Innovation by integrating the Product development and Post PO Management teams within the Vendor Management function. The Divisional / Merchandising Manager of Strategic Sourcing VM team will have responsibilities for Fabric Booking, Sample Garment Development and WIP processes. S/he will be responsible overseeing the negotiation process with the vendor and manage the placement of programs on behalf of the brands. S/he will be responsible for developing strong, effective internal and external business partner relationships for the department which will lead to on-going strategic partnerships. Job Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end supply chain for their area of responsibility with detailed knowledge of seasonal product, vendors and costs Has strong sourcing knowledge and regularly leverages external experts, associations, industry peers to identify and benchmark best practices Leverages experience to identify and prioritize new sourcing opportunities and creates resource plans to achieve goals and targets for department within global Category Holds vendors accountable to performance agreements and determines when course corrections are necessary and leads the execution Leverages strong influencing skills to align targets with sourcing and brand business partners Oversees, and conducts as needed, high visibility and complex competitive negotiation processes Assign Product Development Raw Material per vendor Builds effective strategic relationships with business partners and successfully leverages these relationships across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to drive the results for which this position is accountable Prioritizes and leads the continuous improvement process for programs within purview Leverages strong influencing skills to define sourcing role and align objectives and targets with sourcing and brand business partners Oversees, and conducts as needed, high visibility and complex competitive negotiation processes Shares best in practices with other teams, functions, channels and geographies Requirements: Bachelor's degree in textile, merchandising, business administration, supply chain management, or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred Minimum of 12 / 8 years work experience in merchandise sourcing, development and production with at least 2 years in leading a team Strong Merchandise Sourcing and end-to-end supply chain knowledge Detailed knowledge of seasonal products, vendors and costs Demonstrated ability to deal head-on with issues and challenging situations Strong planning and negotiation skills including the ability to influence at all levels Ability to plan, prioritize and adapt to change while achieving and maintaining results for multiple projects Strong abilities to manage, motivate and develop others Ability to effectively manage and plan resources to achieve goals and support unplanned work Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities; can see a problem from multiple angles and provide viable, innovative options for resolution Excellent written and spoken English communication & presentation skills Proficient in MS Office Suite.
