The Technical Program Management and Business Engagement Inventory Management lead is a critical role accountable to ensure delivery of all capabilities impacting and enabling our Inventory Management (IM) functions and accountable for real-time relevant business communications and engagement to ensure our IM uptime and performance meets the operating need. This position will be responsible for coordinating execution of end-to-end technology strategies across Product Management, Engineering and Architecture teams to support funded portfolio initiatives and communicating with key Business and GapTech stakeholders. This position is responsible for managing the portfolio lifecycle, facilitating application strategy and planning processes, ensuring portfolio delivery success in a modern Dev Ops/agile operating model. This includes accountability for financial visibility to the leader team. This leader works across product management and engineering in partnership to ensure product teams meet requirements and deadlines for business capabilities. As the leader of business engagement team for IM, the individual will assume all status and recovery is communicated, all new deployments are done in lock step and partnership with IM leadership in the brands. The role reports to the Sr. Director of Technical Program Management & Business Engagement - Sourcing, Inventory Management and Strategic Alliances in GapTech.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP
• Leader of the Technical PMO for IM across all Gap Inc. Brands, with direct Technical Program Manager and Engagement Manager leaders
• Member of the Technical PMO and Business Engagement leadership team
• Leads the execution of end-to-end technology strategies across Product Management, Engineering, Architecture and other GapTech teams
• Maintains overall financial and milestone status of business capability across product teams and provide visibility across investment portfolio ensuring planned scope, priority, risk, milestone and financial changes are surfaced in a timely manner, ensures strategies and recommendations for addressing each are provided and result in aligned decisions
• This position will lead and manage the portfolio lifecycle, facilitating application strategy and planning processes, ensuring portfolio delivery success in a modern Dev Ops/Agile operating model and leading business engagement and communications
• Communicates directly to senior executives on Merchandising, Inventory Management (Planning, Pricing & Allocation) operating status and technology impact

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive the annual portfolio planning process, integrating and aligning across Product Management, Engineering and Architecture; facilitate ongoing partnership and alignment across these organizations as portfolio changes are needed
• Facilitate delivery partnership through the right level of planning, coordination, alignment and leadership visibility occurs to ensure on-time, on budget delivery of initiatives
• Ensure successful delivery execution of large complex projects/programs consisting of multiple cross- functional/ organizational Agile teams through PMO best practices
• Maintain overall financial and milestone status of initiatives and provide visibility across your portfolio ensuring planned scope, priority, risk, milestone and financial changes are surfaced in a timely manner
• Provide timely visibility of critical business-impacting technology issues to business and technology leaders to ensure business-impacting issues are communicated in business language and provide coordination to ensure ongoing status is communicated and contingency option
• Participate in continuous delivery improvement efforts by providing input into an enterprise framework for program management aligned with modern agile, lean and design thinking practices
• Provide status updates to a team of project and business engagement managers who coordinate delivery and communications across Gap Tech, lead a high performing team
• Communicate business critical status and lead IM engagement team in regular communications of status to the IM leadership teams • 8+ years full lifecycle program or project management experience
• Deep end to end functional knowledge in IM technology areas
• Current industry knowledge of relevant technology
• Experience managing large programs or a portfolio of projects ($15+ Million annually)
• Experience working with engineering development and ops teams in DevOps model
• Experience working in or with product management
• Experience delivering both package and custom-developed software
• Demonstrated understanding of modern software development and infrastructure tools, processes and practices, including Agile Development, Cloud, DevOps
• Creative and flexible mindset to planning and problem-solving, ability to lean into the details while maintaining the "big picture"
• Strength in building partnerships; working collaboratively in a matrix, proven influencing skills
• High degree of financial acumen - proven track record of planning and executing on the financial aspect of deliverables
• Demonstrated track record of aligning IT objectives and programs to business objectives and strategies
• A highly service-orientated approach with a track record of delivery and client satisfaction
• Ability to manage large global teams and demonstrated ability to develop and grow leaders
• Proven ability to provide executive level communication and risk assessments
• Strong executive presence and experience advising and interfacing with senior executives and business leadership on technology related issues, excellent executive-level verbal and written communication

KEY EXPERIENCES
• 8+ years full lifecycle program or project management experience
