Color - Senior Specialist
What You Will Do GENERAL SUMMARY: The Specialist, Color is responsible for the coordination of daily operational activities in color evaluation, quality control services related to color issues. The Specialist, Color diagnoses color problem in fabric/garments and closely works with vendor/dyeing factory to ensure exact color management on production in store ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Liaise with Brand Color on color standard development. • Build Color Standard library. • Color approval on Lab dip & 1st bulk dyelot. • Data entry for Color Report System. • Joint review with merchant for the problematic colors. • Provide technical advice to business partners. • Support Global project, e.g. Mills/Vendors empowerment. • Provide empowerment training to mills/vendors. • Monitor the performance of the Self Approval pilot/certified mills/vendors. • Monitor Color Accreditation program. • Build up strong communication channel with Color Equipment & Dyestuff Company. • Support the new color technology/device trial. • Provide Eye alignment training to mills/vendors. • Executing Color SOP. • Maintain equipment performance • Training subordinate to next level ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Vendor Managements, Mill Managements, and Brand Color Departments External: Vendors, Fabric mills, Dyeing mills, Dyestuff & Color Equipment suppliers What You Are Good At 1) Knowledge, skills & abilities: • Good technical knowledge in dyeing process, dyestuff characteristic etc. in the respective product areas. • Build relationships and communicate effectively with vendors/dyeing mills. • Able to identify color issues and provide recommendations on solutions. • Able to anticipate, prioritize, delegate, monitor work activities. • Smart, flexible, able to work under pressure, self-motivated with initiatives. • Verbal and written fluency in English with the ability to translate is required • Effective communication and interpersonal skill. • Computer skill • Able to effectively work with cross functional stakholders 2) Minimum educational and experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Textile & Clothing or Textile Engineering related discipline • At least 5-7 years experience in a relevant field 3) Physical Requirements • Superior Discrimination in Munsell Hue Test
