Associate Manager, Gap Ecommerce

OVERVIEW The E-Commerce Associate Channel Manager i s an integral member of the Gap Inc. China E-Commerce team, which runs a full online adult and kids/baby apparel business on official sites and third party channels. This person will be responsible to drive Gap's business growth on Tmall channel, including but not limited to marketing initiatives, sales drive event, as well as omni-channel initiatives. As part of a n E-Commerce team, this person must be an individual with great communication skills, ability to work independently as well as co-work with internal and external teams. Who also passionate about E-Commerce. In addition, s/he must also be very organized and can execute projects under tight deadlines. On what leadership team(s) does this role participate (own team, cross-functional)? Own team What kind of complexity does this role face? Need to coordinate with store ops and marketing team time to time on omni-channel projects as well as additional marketing support for Tmall. Also facing some new initiatives that would involve legal and finance team to find solutions. How might this role represent Brand across Gap Inc.? It will be mainly focus on Gap brand, but sometimes, there will be cross brand projects that will be working with Old Navy team together. How does this role represent Brand across all of our Brands? Will be represent Gap brand mostly. Please consistently reflect the Brand culture by stating: "Leads and inspires functional team to be: product obsessed, customer-focused, innovative, fast-moving and team-oriented." KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Build and maintain close relationship with Tmall partners and execute initiatives to grow incremental business on Tmall. With help of external contracted channel operation team, be first-to-know on day to day brand building, customer acquisition and sales driving opportunities on Tmall. Represent Gap to achieve best possible support and resources on Tmall platform. Contribute to the decision on campaign/event selections to ensure proper brand exposure on Tmall. Work with ecommerce cross-functional team to execute these campaigns to achieve best possible results including appropriate merchandise selection, level of promotional offer, creative development, marketing execution and after sales service. Supervise external partners on Tmall media planning and execution, including zuanzhan, zhitongche, taobaoke for both PC and mobile. 2. Deliver sales target of Tmall channel. Understand site events and promotion objectives and timeline. Create and communicate detailed implementation schedules to cross functional partners and see through to on-time launch. Deliver sales target of each event and hindsight each big event.

  • At least 5 years working experience. 2 years+ experience with 3rd party channel marketing and operation experience and apparel industry would be highly desirable.
  • Proofed experience in working with Tmall platform, good relationship with Tmall partners would be a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and achieve results with third party channel platform owners.
  • Detailed understanding of third party channel sales levers, operations, promotion events and protocols.
  • Highly detailed oriented, experience in project management and communication deliverables for multiple projects at any given time. Must be a team player.
