The Assistant Manager Productions Systems & Training is part of the Old Navy Production team.


The Product Development Assistant,Systems Training, is responsible for providing first-level support for all OldNavy end users of our PLM, Costing Tool and ACT applications (Production,Merchandising, Design and Technical Design users). The AST must have stronguser skills on PLM, ACT, & Costing tool and understand the upstream anddownstream implications of data integrity errors, be able to build the businesscase for application enhancements, have strong written and verbal communicationskills, and have a passion to help users resolve their problems.


  1. Onboarding & Training Management
  • Ensureall new Production, Design, Tech Design, and R&D employees attend basicPLM/ACT training provided by GapInc. RMP
  • Developand administer Old Navy onboarding training customized by level
  • Workclosely with Production Leadership, Gap Inc. Supply Chain, and IT to plan andimplement initial rollout & training for new tools
  • Administertraining for updates/enhancements
  • Workwith departmental admins to ensure new users are set up correctly
  1. User Experience Management
  • Providedeskside assistance during peak workload times on the P2M calendar
  • Troubleshootspecific department/category problems and resolve with the entirecross-functional user group
  • Sameday response to user calls and emails
  • Distinguishbetween training opportunities and need for application enhancement
  1. System Improvement Management
  • Identifyand drive adoption of simplification and efficiency opportunities
  • Distinguishbetween training opportunities and need for application enhancement
  • Workcross functionally with other Gap Inc teams to develop the business case forcoding enhancements
  • Workclosely with Gap Inc. Supply Chain and IT to prioritize training andenhancements

  • GlobalProduction Team, Fabric R&D, Tech Design, Merchants, Inventory Management,Design, GIS, Allocation
  • Developan understanding of design terminology and business requirements.
  • Understandroles and responsibilities of cross-functional business partners at all levels.
  • Workswith immediate team members to support department Production, Fabric R&Dand Tech Design strategies; Develops internal and external relationships withguidance from Manager.
  • Understandthe use of P2M calendar, PLM, ACT, Fabric Input Sheet, Costing Tool, OrderManagement
