GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Assistant Production Manager actively participates as a member of a Global Production Team, which is responsible for the financial and responsive execution of the strategy & direction for a single or multiple departments.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports alignment with Product Development post Mill Week meetings to understand what the product strategies are and marry that with the sourcing strategies
- Supports alignment with Product Development team post Raw Material reviews on any areas of concern
- Helps to provide GIS with flow INDC dates for each RD
- Partner with Product Development to identify areas of concern and potential sourcing solves
- Assist in communication of lead times and early books to cross functional teams
- Supports alignment on RSC strategies and execution of such activities
- Helps to coordinate early booking meetings and execution of early bookings
- Supports partnership with GIS on sourcing strategies and solves
- Assists with communication of 2nd books
- Track and report all open issues
- Assists with frolling process, helping to identify on any costing concerns
- Attends BOM details meetings
- Supports the execution of final BOMs in PLM
- Attends critical fitting to offer guidance with respect to costing and lead times
- Assist with communication and execution of 2nd and final bookings
- Ensures that supporting systems (ACT, PLM, TS, Prompt) are complete and accurate by the agreed deadlines
- Help to research any issues with PO seeding
- Supports partnership with Trade Compliance in order to confirm duty rates of product
- Coordination of Ad sample ordering and partners with Merch/PR to ensure timely delivery
- Help to investigate all late deliveries and identify potential solutions
- Documents delivery changes in the change log and communicates to cross-functional teams as necessary
- Documents and executes all RSC related activities (pre-season and in-season)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1 Year General work experience
- Manufacturing, trade regulations, testing protocol, product integrity, production cycle timeline, fabric and garment construction
- Cross-functional inter-dependencies.
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access, web-based applications;
- Effectively communicate in written and verbal form
- Detail oriented with strong follow through
- Organize and prioritize multiple projects
- Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
- Demonstrate proactive problem solving skills
- Use basic retail math needed to determine costs, margins and turn
- Create and maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals
