Analyst, Consumer Insights

  • The Gap Inc. Consumer Insight team's work is focused on Inc strategic initiatives that benefit the full portfolio of brands (Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta, Intermix, Weddington Way) as well as critical brand and function projects that lead to differentiated products and experiences for our consumer
  • The Analyst supports the Gap Inc. CI team in contributing to foundational customer programs and Gap Inc and brand initiatives as well as contributing to supporting ongoing transformation endeavors to drive more customer-centric decision making
  • Role exposes you to a variety of areas including apparel product, digital/ store/ omni-shopping experience, and brand marketing
  • While your home base is the Consumer Insights team, you will contribute regularly to cross-functional teams. You will help deliver insight that ensure that the customer's needs are at the forefront of Inc. and brand strategic initiatives
  • You will be expected to deliver error-free data and insights in a fast-paced environment in a timely manner with limited guidance
  • You represent Consumer Insights as more than a reliable service function; in addition, you will demonstrate we are a strategic partner with an objective, fact-based point of view who will advise our brands and partners on how to win in an exciting, ever-changing, competitive marketplace
  • You are product obsessed, customer-focused, innovative, nimble, fast-moving and team-oriented

Key Responsibilities:

You're part of a flexible team of insights resources permitting you to work on a wide variety of tasks, projects, and teams such as:

  • Provide project management and logistics for key Insights projects including Product Wear tests, usability studies (in-store and online) and other strategic projects and programs
  • Run analytical analysis to yield actionable insights that drive business decisions
  • Understand business issues and provide input to qualitative and quantitative research
  • Monitor fielding of quantitative surveys
  • Synthesize data for story-driven presentations and assist with presenting of results
  • Assist with team management – orchestrating team meetings, vendor presentations, gather project updates and return on insights
  • Process invoices and maintain budget process for CI team
  • Proactively listening to partners and finding new ways to help

94105• 3+ years professional experience in Insights, Strategy, or Analysis

  • Highly organized and able to bring structure and process to projects
  • An analytic mind with proven experience applying structure to answer complex questions or problems
  • Proven strength in writing, speaking, and communication skills
  • Enjoys learning from and teaching others
  • Experience synthesizing information into a clear, simple story
  • Comfortable interviewing people in person, sometimes on sensitive topics, experience strongly preferred
  • Experience applying foundational statistical concepts, statistical software experience strongly preferred (e.g. SPSS, SAS, Excel)
  • Excels in presentation development
