National Sales Specialist

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, PART OF THE USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking a National Sales Specialist.

The National Sales Specialist will assist the National Sales Manager and Sales Executives with the day to day scheduling, ordering and follow-up of multi-media advertising campaigns. They will also support incoming business by delivering timely and accurate media requests, insertion orders, and local market insight. The successful candidate will be able to handle a high volume of work and be versatile enough to wear multiple hats while providing top notch customer service. This position offers the rare opportunity to develop media knowledge directly with accounts and agency contacts within a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

This position serves as the virtual front door for national accounts; focus on maximizing the opportunities presented by these accounts looking to advertise in our market.

Daily opportunity to build relationships with accounts on a specific book of business and with those just entering the market.

Serves as a support representative for advocacy and political advertisers who are placing media campaigns in our market.


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Working knowledge of our products and how they provide value to advertisers

Proven track record in understanding the processes, practices and policies involved in selling advertising

Working knowledge of digital media & print products – ROP and preprints

Ability to multi-task with impeccable attention to details

Strong internal and external relationship skills with the ability to build rapport and trust
